Step 9 – testing and recording your work
I need to be able to see what you've programmed. To do this, we'll use screenshots.
The first things to do:
- take a screenshot of your completed program code (similar to my screenshot at the bottom of the step 8)
- paste this into your PowerPoint document – if you don't have one, create one now
- write a paragraph to describe what your program does
Testing your program:
You need to test if your program works properly.
Test:
- what happens if you get the riddle correct the first time
- what happens if you get the riddle correct the second time
- what happens if you get the riddle correct the third time
- what happens if you don't get the riddle correct at all
- what happens when you use some alternative answers from step 8
Go back and make any changes to your program if you need to.
Add screenshots of each of these results to your PowerPoint and write a paragraph about how your testing went.
Adding in the theory:
I'd love to know how well you understand some of the key ideas related to programming.
In this program, you've used:
- sequence
- selection
- repetition
Add another slide to your PowerPoint. For each of the three key ideas, use a screenshot of part of your program to show me that you understand about the idea (so, one screenshot for sequence, one for selection, one for repetition).
Use writing to explain what the idea means and how your program does it.
You can use more than one slide if you need to.
