Creative iMedia
R097 – Interactive digital media
This is a portfolio unit. It's worth 35% of the final mark for the course.
You'll be given the portfolio part when you're ready to do it, but not until you've been taught about Interactive Digital Media Products (IDMPs).
The portfolio part of this unit is supposed to take 12–15 hours to complete and is made up of three tasks.
It will almost certainly be helpful to explore what makes a product an IDMP first.
Portfolio tasks
The portfolio for this unit is split into three tasks:
- Task 1 – client needs and planning
- Task 2 – creating the IDMP and evidencing with screenshots
- Task 3 – testing and reviewing
For task 2 it's really important that you evidence the creation and editing of the component parts of the IDMP – the images, the video, the audio, the buttons etc... There's a whole line of the markgrid that is to do with this. It's common for people to provide little or no evidence for this, and the overall mark suffers.
